From Tashkent to Sydney: Saidjahon Fayzullaev Secures a Three-Year Australian Student Visa

Saidjahon Fayzullaev, a student from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, has successfully secured a three-year Australian Student Visa to pursue an Information Technology pathway at UTS College and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

With an IELTS overall score of 6.0, Saidjahon will begin with a one-year Diploma of Information Technology at UTS College before progressing to the Bachelor of Information Technology at UTS for the remaining two years. He has also received an AUD 10,000 tuition fee discount for his diploma studies and a 40% tuition fee discount for his bachelor’s studies.

From Tashkent to Singapore and Australia

Born in 2007, Saidjahon graduated from General Secondary School No. 305 in Sergeli District, Tashkent, in 2025. He also spent one year studying at SP Jain School of Global Management in Singapore.

His next academic chapter will take him to Sydney, where he will continue his international education with a focus on Information Technology. Having already studied outside Uzbekistan, Saidjahon will bring that experience to a new learning environment in Australia.

Beginning with the Diploma of Information Technology

Saidjahon will start his Australian studies with the one-year Diploma of Information Technology at UTS College. This is the first stage of his planned three-year pathway towards a bachelor’s qualification.

The diploma stage provides an opportunity to build his knowledge of Information Technology while becoming familiar with the expectations of Australian higher education. It will also give him time to develop his academic English and confidence before continuing to university-level degree studies.

For this stage, Saidjahon has received an AUD 10,000 tuition fee discount, reducing the cost of his diploma program.

Progressing to the University of Technology Sydney

After successfully completing his diploma and meeting the progression requirements, Saidjahon will continue to the Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney, with two years of study remaining.

He has received a 40% tuition fee discount for this stage of his education. Together, the discounts awarded across the two stages represent substantial financial support for his studies in Australia.

His planned study pathway is:

UTS College: Diploma of Information Technology — one year, with an AUD 10,000 tuition fee discount.
University of Technology Sydney: Bachelor of Information Technology — two further years, with a 40% tuition fee discount.
